What It Means To Be Tiger of the Week

The Tiger of the Week must be an exemplary individual not only on the field/court, but also in the classroom. A Tiger of the Week will be displayed every Thursday.

  • Standout performance in sport of choice
  • Respect of your teachers and other students
  • Excellence in the classroom
  • Good Citizen

Union City will be reintroducing the Tiger of the Week again after a one year hiatus.

Our first Tiger of the Week for 2017-2018 school year is Junior, Hunter Johnson. She participates in volleyball, basketball and beginning softball this spring. She is not only a fantastic athlete, but also a great student. Her coach and mentor says this: “Hunter has been doing very well in basketball practice and in the classroom. She has stayed ahead of pace in her courses and is maturing as a student and an athlete. She is also a member of the OHSRA (Oklahoma High School Rodeo Association) and the NLBRA (National Little Britches Rodeo Association).

Hunter has helped lead the team a 2-0 start on the season. She also has averaged 20 points per game and grabbing multiple rebounds. Coach Anderson remarks, “She is most definitely a handful for opposing defenses.”

Congratulations to Hunter Johnson!
