The Union City Tigers played the Hinton Comets Tuesday March 12,2018 to start off the game Brayden Reed dominated on the mound by striking out 10 batters and giving up only 5 hits. This game was all about defense as both sides of the ball played good defense. Things heated up in the fourth inning when the Tigers had bases loaded, the Comets head coach was restricted to the dugout after arguing balls and strikes. However, the Tigers left the bases loaded and the game stayed 1-0.

On the Tigers offense struggled to put runs on the board and leaving base runners on in each inning. The only scored run was by Brayden Reed off a double by Wyatt Norton in the third inning. The Tigers held the Comets to 0 runs off 5 hits. The Tigers won a nail biter against the Comets 1-0.

Offensively the Tigers only put up 5 hits. Zane Robeaux and Wyatt Norton had the only two extra base hits of the game.

Union City improves their record to 4-2. This week they will be taking part in the annual Union City Classic.
