Girls Middle School Volleyball, Girls Varsity Volleyball · Lady Tigers Come Up Short Against SWC


The Union City Lady Tigers volleyball teams 7-12th grade, traveled down the road to the Southwest Covenant Patriots for what they all knew would be intense matches all night long.

To start off the night the 7/8th grade team went 2-0. After that the JH went 2-1 and  JV who were came up with 2-1 W.

After a long night of volleyball already, varsity started the game intense and ready to play. The score went back and fourth for the lead change all through the set. The Lady Tigers unfortunately came up short 25-23 to the Lady Patriots.

The second set started off a little slow for the Lady Tigers but they didn’t let their heads down coming into the second set down one. They fought hard but came up short 25-16.

The third set was much like the first. The lead changed multiple times and was neck and neck the entire night. The Lady Tigers could not quite get to 25 first as the Lady Patriots took the win 25-21.

Both Elisa Viacava and Hunter Johnson had 10 kills for the night. Jamie Schieber had 11 assists and Shawna Rodgers with 6. Livia Nelson led the team with 6 digs.

The Union City Lady Tigers will be AT Sharon-Mutual starting at 4:30 having JH, JV, and Varsity. Come support your Lady Tigers this week!
