Multiple Teams · Lady Tigers Improved to 6-3


Lady Tigers came ready to play last night against Riverside with 12-4  and 7-6 being the final scores in favor of the girls in blue. The Tigers improved their record to 6-3 on the year.

Union City put one run on the board in the first inning to take a 1-0 lead. In the third inning the girls put six runs on the board, Riverside firing back with four but that wasn’t enough, making the score 8-4 at the end of the third.

The Tigers had an amazing game both offensively and defensively. Taytim Woods started the game off with a triple, scoring off a pass ball and stealing multiple bases all night. Kylie McCoy had a in the park home run, with a line drive over the left fielders head. The girls dominated on the base path stealing multiple bases all night.

MaKenna Delong pitched amazing in the first game, striking out nine, only allowing three hits.

Kaitlyn Linson, Kailee Jackson, and Emily Griggs all made appearances on the mound in game two. Haylie McCoy and Morgan Carel hit a triple helping lead the girls to victory. Having the final score 7-6 in game two.

The Lady Tigers will be back in action on Thursday, September 13th at home beginning at 4:30.

Also the JH baseball team has advanced to the finals in the Ninnekah Tournament, playing Amber-Pocasset starting at 7pm on September 13th.
